As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the Ghana Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD) has sponsored the Sompahemaa Foundation founded by Mrs. Irene Kyei-Mensah Bonsu to organize a health screening for about 1,000 people in the Suame constituency in the Ashanti region.
CBOD supported the event with an amount of GH¢ 10,000.The exercise comprised free dental screening, hypertension, hepatitis B, prostate cancer, breast screening, blood pressure and sugar level and eye screening.
The exercise, which was to launch the Sompahemaa foundation was highly patronized by the aged and the youth of Suame, Makro, Bremang, Tarkwa, and Kronom.
There were available drugs for the participants but those who needed immediate attention were referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
