CBOD CEO Senyo Hosi speaks about private sector intervention in Ghana’s Covid-19 fight at IPIECA’s regional information sharing session

The CEO of the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors Senyo Hosi has addressed IPIECA on private sector intervention in Ghana’s Covid-19 fight. Hosi, who doubles as the managing trustee of the Ghana Covid-19 Private Sector Fund brought the audience up to date on the fund’s flagship project, the construction of the Ghana Infectious Disease Center, a 100-bed facility in Accra which began in April 2020. The project expects to build similar centers across 4 other major cities in Ghana.

President Akufo-Addo is expected to commission the center before the end of the month of July.
Senyo Hosi shed light on the GCPS Fund’s projects including feed a kayaye [head porters], feed the front line, protect and resource the front line, the 100-bed infectious disease center and the de-stigmatization project.

He spoke at the IPIECA Covid-19 Series: Regional Information Sharing session via videoconferencing.
