The latest Ghana Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD) Market Update indicates that refined product prices (Petrol, diesel, LPG) on the world market dropped over the period December 27, 2015 to January 11, 2016 (Pricing Window).
The December 27, 2015 to January 11, 2016 pricing window was used to set pump prices for January 16 to January 31, 2016 (Selling Window).
This, however, did not reflect in fuel prices on the Ghanaian market due to the depreciation of the Ghana Cedi against the US Dollar.
With world markets experiencing further declines, barring any further depreciation of the Ghana Cedi, Ex-refinery prices will be expected to fairly drop in the next selling window, February 1 to February 15, 2016.
The CBOD Market Update is a public interest service rendered by the Ghana Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors to shed more light on happenings within the world and Ghanaian petroleum market.
