The CEO of the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors, Senyo Hosi has filed a lawsuit against outspoken MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong for defaming him.
The suit follows a warning issued by Senyo Hosi last week to the Assin Central MP to retract defamatory statements he made against him (Hosi) or be sued.
Mr. Agyapong openly accused Senyo Hosi of offering a one million bribe to the MD of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company, Mr. Alfred Obeng on Oman FM. According to the MP, the bribe was to influence Mr. Alfred Obeng decision to sell contaminated fuel by BOST to Movenpinaa Energy and Zup Oil.
In a suit filed Tuesday, 04 July 2017, Mr. Hosi is seeking a redress of GHC 5 million from the MP, GHC 3 million from Kencity Media, a company owned by Mr. Agyapong, and GHC1 million from Afia Akoto, a Deputy Executive Secretary of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC).
