Fuel Supply Remains Secure, CBOD Reassures Public

The Chief Executive Officer of CBOD, Dr. Ofori, has reassured Ghanaians that the country’s fuel supply is stable, with no risk of shortages in the near term.

Speaking during an interview on TV3’s Business Focus, Dr. Ofori emphasised that, based on scheduled deliveries and current stock levels, there is no threat to the consistent availability of petroleum products across the country.

“Based on expected deliveries and confirmed Laycan schedules, there is no threat to product availability. The public can rest assured that we have sufficient inflows to meet demand.”

Confidence in Current and Incoming Stocks

He explained that multiple cargoes are already scheduled to arrive and offload, and that CBOD member companies are actively monitoring these inflows to ensure uninterrupted supply. This proactive coordination, he said, is key to maintaining stability at fuel stations and preventing artificial price shocks.

“Despite occasional timing issues, our systems are tracking product movements closely. We remain confident in our ability to meet demand,” he added.
