The Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD) extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved families, friends and the nation at large following the tragic military helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight distinguished Ghanaians in line of national duty on Wednesday, 6th August 2025 in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region.
We mourn the loss of dedicated public servants and security personnel whose contributions to national development, governance, and peacekeeping will never be forgotten: Dr. Edward Omane Boamah – Minister for Defence; Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed – Minister for Environment, Science and Technology; Dr. Samuel Sarpong – National Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC); Mr. Samuel Aboagye – Former Parliamentary Candidate; Alhaji Muniru Mohammed – Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator; Squadron Leader Peter Anala – Pilot; Flying Officer Twum Ampadu; and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
These men dedicated their lives to the service of Ghana, spanning sectors from defence and national security to governance, environment, and aviation. Their sudden departure is a profound loss to the state, and their legacy of patriotism and commitment to national development will continue to inspire us all.
CBOD stands in solidarity with the Government of Ghana, the Ghana Armed Forces, and the families of the departed. We join the nation in praying for comfort, strength, and peace during this difficult time.
May their souls rest in perfect peace.
Signed.
Dr. Patrick Ofori, Ph.D.
